I’m sure by now you may have seen our posts on twitter or facebook about our drama earlier this week. On Monday night our office was broken into by some toe-rag who managed to swipe our lovely array of machinery. Five mac’s in total were taken along with our server and various other bits. It was a shock for all our colleagues at first and left us all feeling rather violated. But we won’t let this get us down. We won’t be beaten.
On the plus side, it proved that our disaster recovery programme kicked in and all data was backed up off site and 100% secure. We would like to think that we have offered our usual levels of service in trying times.
We are getting back on track with the hardware (macs) and would like to thank Steve at Hardsoft of Shoreditch for his help and speedy service for getting us up and running. We have learned a hard lesson and from now on we will be using portable machines that will not be left overnight on the premises.
Finally we would like to thank our friends, family and clients for their support and good wishes over the past few days.
The Slate Team.
